Brian Lawless plays guitar-driven rock and roll with country storytelling in its bones: roaring guitars, melodies that stick, and songs about freedom, love, loss, redemption and the American road. The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and Oasis are all in there, but none of it sounds like a revival.
He writes every song himself and plays them with a four-piece band built for the front of a festival crowd: two guitars, bass and drums, no tracks and nothing to hide behind.
Singles including “Dead Flowers,” “Drugstore Cowboy” and “From the Road” led to his debut album Moonshine, out now on Cosmic American Records, followed by “Want It All,” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” and “Eyes Closed.”
In 2026 he won the Golden Boot at Carolina Country Music Fest, on a bill he earned by selling more than $80,000 in tickets to his own audience. He plays Barefoot Country Music Fest in June 2027.
